Why Corporate Yoga? Boost Focus, Energy, and Team Connection
“Why bring yoga into the workplace when YouTube is free?”
It’s a valid question. Why pay, when there are thousands of free videos out there? And yet, more and more forward-thinking organisations are turning to online, guided yoga sessions as part of their wellbeing strategy. Why?
Because disconnection and burnout cost far more than a live yoga session ever will. (1)
Workplace yoga isn’t about perfect poses. It provides a space for cultivating presence, focus and a deeper sense of connection across your team (2). Having regular live sessions – online or in person – makes a difference.
Here’s how:

1. Real connection. Real accountability.
Live classes give people a reason to show up – not just physically, but mentally. When there’s a teacher guiding the session live at a specific time, people are more likely to commit, rather than the YouTube video left for “someday.” (How many videos do you have ‘saved’ in your brain library to-watch one day?)…
As well as connection to the breath, it also builds team connection – no awkward icebreakers or enforced fun. Just colleagues showing up, breathing together, and sharing a grounded moment that sparks better collaboration throughout the workdays.
2. From burnout to balance
Many people operate in cycles of pushing through, crashing, and repeating. Yoga teaches smarter energy management, how to access tools for managing overwhelm, and prevents burnout before it builds. I use my background in Psychology & Mental Health work to make yoga accessible in support of your team’s wellbeing.
You don’t need a 90-minute class. Even short, accessible sessions can have a lasting impact on how people show up during the day. There’s something about doing it when you know others are too that creates a shared experience in that present moment.
3. The personalised element
Perhaps one colleague experiences lower back pain, or an ankle injury. Maybe someone is pregnant. A video won’t take into account your people’s injuries, conditions, neurodivergence or mobility. For live classes though, everyone has to complete a health questionnaire beforehand so I can offer personalised guidance which yoga poses can help, be avoided or should be modified. I’m also big on intention setting – people are invited to consider what they’d love to get from the upcoming session.
“But not everyone likes yoga”. That’s okay.
This isn’t about converting sceptics into yogis. It’s about offering an inclusive, low-pressure space where people can support their wellbeing in a way that feels approachable.
I’ve worked with absolute beginners, desk-bound sceptics, and high-performing leaders who didn’t think they “had time for yoga” – until they realised what a difference it made.
Studies showed companies that implement wellness programs see a 66% increase in productivity (3) with significantly reduced perceived stress among employees using yoga interventions (4).
Every session is adapted for the group’s needs, experience levels, and even phases of the menstrual cycle when relevant. Long-gone are one-size-fits-all days! It’s responsive, human-led wellbeing.

4. You won’t be left promoting it alone
One of the biggest barriers to wellbeing uptake? People don’t know it’s happening, they forget – or they don’t think it’s for them.
With a background in employee engagement and comms strategy, I don’t just teach yoga – I help you promote it. From drafting launch emails to creating internal campaigns, I’ll work with you to make sure these sessions land well and reach the right people.
Let’s make sure this doesn’t gather dust on the to-do list.
5. It demonstrates that your organisation is proactive
Offering yoga in the workplace sends a clear message: you care about how people feel, not just how they perform. When leaders participate, especially if it’s ‘not their thing’, it sets a powerful tone from the top, encouraging people to care for their wellbeing – which directly boosts productivity levels. And did you know that employees who participate in wellness programs are 3x more likely to recommend their company? (5)
Because life happens, I offer flexible hybrid packages for shorter yoga & breathwork practices with PDFs, so people can stay consistent, without guilt or pressure.
This isn’t just a perk. It’s culture-building in motion.

YouTube is a brilliant resource – but it doesn’t replace live, tailored support. Corporate yoga creates space for people to show up for themselves, together, a side-step away from the work environment.
Because when we feel better, we work and connect better, too.
